Table Service

The SquirrelOne Table Service POS module targets the needs and nuances of fine dining operations and the people who run them.

Table Service POS is where Squirrel first earned a reputation for innovation in technology for restaurants. Literally designed around the needs and preferences of restaurant people, it is still the easiest, most flexible solution available.

Intelligent design enables servers to navigate fluently through ordering and payment functions, with unparalleled speed. Vivid visuals and graphics, with strategic use of color, streamline every step in each process. Consistent menus offer the right choices at the right moment.

Ordering
SquirrelOne POS excels in choices in table and seat configurations. All displays are clear and intuitive, making order entry almost effortless.

Servers can move quickly through menu sections, check summaries and running tabs, and add and change items, all with ease and confidence. New items are displayed in color while previously ordered ones are grayed.

Separate “course firing” enables servers to enter a table’s complete order all at once, then pace the meal according to guest preferences.

Checks
Flexible guest check options are a special strength for SquirrelOne POS.

Checks come in multiple configurations - combined, partial, split, or separate - to meet every need. In addition, a clever “split item” function allows the cost of one item to be instantly divided by any number of guests.

For combined, split and separate checks, one touch is all it takes to create those checks. For group checks it’s a simple, highly visual drag-and-drop process.

Quick Service

Quick Service POS module gives you all the same intuitive ease and functionality of Table Service, packaged in a streamlined configuration for coffee bar, pro shop or retail boutique.

Like all SquirrelOne POS solutions, this module is set up as a different department, or revenue center, within the total Squirrel system.

Staff can enter orders, print checks and settle payment all through a one-screen interface. Everything the server needs for fast simple service is right there, on one screen. Servers can process an order in a few keystrokes, without logging in again for a new transaction. User-centric Squirrel graphics include an editable on-screen summary for better order accuracy.

Fast Bar

Fast Bar offers all the intuitive ease and functionality of the Table Service module, but streamlined for faster bar service.

Frequently ordered items and basic functions are all displayed on one screen, entirely bypassing the need to assign orders to tables and seats, or navigate through multiple menu sections.

For most restaurants, the tried and true 80/20 rule applies - where 80% of your sales come from 20% of your items. Figure out which items are in the 20%, and Quick Service lets you put them all in one convenient place. (If the full menu is needed, an extra keystroke can get you there.)

Bar staff may place an order, and then enter the next order without any need to log in again. “Tab” checks enable quick and easy transfer of guests moving into the dining room. Tabs can be assigned with a guest name for easier access.

One-touch re-ordering is a snap with Quick Service’s “round” function.

A bartender’s requisition can be organized to batch-print multiple orders at once, in a pre-defined “call order.” Order accuracy is enhanced by an editable on-screen summary.

Fast Bar - like all the one-screen solutions - acts as a different department within your total SquirrelOne system.

Room Service

The Squirrel Room Service POS Module is a case in point.

First and foremost, the destination room is clearly identified on the order. And orders can be charged directly to the guest room account, or to a city ledger account through the hotel interface.

Like all SquirrelOne POS modules, Room Service offers all the speed, power and ease that today’s leading hotels demand and require, in a design aimed specifically at making room service easier to operate.

The Room Service module is designed with a user-centric, highly graphical approach to layout and navigation. This means higher speed and accuracy for servers and hotel guests.

Squirrel 1.2.3

Squirrel 1.2.3 is the solution for small-footprint operations. This ingenious module combines both server and terminal functions in one small-but-heavy-duty unit.

Ideal for operations where a back office might not exist, Squirrel 1.2.3 gives operators all the functionality and speed of a full point of sale system, paired affordably with basic management functions. Every sales and management task can be performed right in one spot.

Like Squirrel’s other solutions, 1.2.3 is built on a Microsoft SQL relational database, with real-time access to point of sale data. While possibilities for integration are limited, but where space is at a premium Squirrel 1.2.3 fits the bill. Check printer is optional.

Combined with Quick Service or Take Away, Squirrel 1.2.3 is the ideal system for even the most compact foodservice operation.

Take Away

Take Away helps restaurants manage a brisk carry-out business.

Guest information, order history, and any special instructions (”Dressing on the side”, “Cut pizza in squares”) are stored for easy retrieval, by phone number, when they return. Delivery instructions are also stored, and printed on all checks.

A loyalty feature is a bonus: the database allows for frequency tracking. And for periodic mailings, mail addresses may be pre-formatted to print directly onto label sheets.
